Arizona’s offers great fishing opportunities on its lakes, rivers, creeks, ponds and streams. Although the state is primary composed of barren arid areas, high mountain trout fishing is still available. Primary species found are bass, trout, catfish, crappie, panfish, stripers and bluegills. Popular fishing areas are the lakes of Colorado River namely Lake Havasu, Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Martinez Lake and Lake Powell. Other fishing lakes in the state are Lake Pleasant, Roosevelt Lake, Apache Lake, Canyon Lake, San Carlos Lake, Saguaro Lake, Barlette Lake, and Alamo Lake.
